Gendarmerie captain Emmanuel Maignan presented the figures for delinquency yesterday at the prefecture. “Since 2014, we have been below the threshold of 3500 crimes and misdemeanors combined per year for the Northern Islands. Statistically, there has never been so little delinquency in 2 years, the captain told the media. Since the beginning of the year, there has been a 14,2% drop in delinquency compared to the same period in 2015, that is to say 279 fewer incidents. ” Concerning the other figures: six homicides, including three in ten days; four homicide attempts; 30 armed robberies (-62%) and finally, for burglaries, 129 fewer (-51,2%). "The current situation is very encouraging," concluded the captain. One in two cases is clarified. _EH
