We are pleased to present the poster of the new edition of L'art en fête! This poster was created by Céline Renger, pedagogical advisor for the Plastic Arts, using a photo and a work by Samy D'Alexis, professor of Visual Arts. We congratulate them and warmly thank them both!
Celebrating art is an action that is now well known and is part of the academic project and its application in Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin. It concerns all students, from kindergarten to high school.
As we know, several studies have shown that artistic education among young people not only improves students' academic results - particularly the most disadvantaged - but increases their chances of professional success as adults.
It is in this spirit that we designed this action Art in celebration who must :
• allow all pupils to build up a rich and coherent personal culture throughout their school career;
• develop and strengthen their artistic practice;
• allow the meeting of artists and works, the attendance of cultural places.
As in previous years, the 2019 edition of L'art en fête can highlight all forms of art, the visual arts, music, photography, literature, poetry, graphic arts, digital arts, dance, theater, etc.
