Structuring the fishing industry has been a long-standing wish of the State, the COM and the CCI. One of the 27 priority actions for 2016 of the City Contract, precisely concerned the structuring of the fishing sector by the CCISM, signatory of this same contract. At the time, the creation of a fish market in Quartier d'Orléans and another in Marigot was announced. All subsidized largely by European funds (ERDF and EMFF).

For the time being, none of these projects has yet seen the light of day. However, Maritime Affairs and the COM have worked on a new project, this time located at the Royal Marina; the announcement was made at the end of January by the services of the prefecture during a press conference on the results of the actions of the State and on March 20, the executive council approved "the construction and development of a point of landing and recovery of fishery products ”. This project includes:

- "a linear platform: with a technical area (ice machine, cold room, cloakroom, shelving and sales area) and a room for the future fishing committee and structure management, and the point for pesca tourism

- an area dedicated to a restaurant (seafood specialties)

- a parking area "

The cost of the project is estimated at 1 euros, the community plans to finance 518 euros and has requested ERDF funds for 700 euros. According to the provisional schedule indicated, the development project can be carried out "as a first approach" over eighteen months.
