1 then 2, 3, 10, 2, 13 and 5. A total of 36 cases of covid-19 were confirmed in the space of seven days last week in the Dutch part. A record since the start of the pandemic crisis on the island. Until then the highest weekly figure had been recorded between March 30 and April 5 with 31 confirmed cases in Sint Maarten.

As a reminder, on March 31, 10 cases had been recorded and on April 5, 12 cases, these were then the largest daily reports. The daily record is now 13 cases, observed on July 25.

Note that on Tuesday the government has just confirmed another case, this brings the number of cases in the Dutch part to 37. Since March, there have never been so many active cases on one side of the island.

If we add the 4 active cases of the French part, the island has 41. However, this is not the maximum reached, the maximum had been 44 between March 30 and April 5. (soualigapost.com)
