Covid-19: Organization of the territorial police on the territory

The Territorial Police are mobilized on the ground daily. A telephone reception has been set up for the public: 05 90 29 56 21 or 05 90 29 56 23.

 

The role of the territorial police during daily patrols is to reassure the population and inform them of the implementation of prefectural and territorial orders and compliance with the containment measures related to COVID-19.

 

The territorial police are therefore responsible for:

- Check that any person traveling on public roads has their travel certificate

- Establishment of contact with the population and verification of distance instructions in businesses authorized to operate.

- Recall the ban on all gatherings around restaurants and other open businesses

- Remind the ban on access to beaches until further notice

- Distribution of travel certificates and explain the need for such a document and the risks of fines for non-compliance with regulations

 

The Territorial Police continue their usual missions:

- Respect for parking on public roads

- Illegal occupation of the public domain

- Patrols and patrols around public buildings

- Pedestrian patrols in order to inform and redirect citizens

- Contact with the Emile Choisy school which currently welcomes 04 children of parents involved in crisis management

- Joint patrols with the gendarmerie within the framework of the PT / GEN convention

 

The territorial police also carry out their surveillance missions in the areas predefined by the Territorial Safeguard Plan: Saint-Louis, Cripple Gate, Friar's Bay, Morne Valois, Colombier, Concordia, Spring, Hameau du Pont, Agrément, Galisbay, Marigot, Bellevue, Sandy Ground to Terres-Basses.

 

Territorial police officers all wear protective gloves and masks during their public service missions. These protection instructions are reminded to each police officer daily when taking duty.
