Covid-19: The health situation continues to improve in Saint-Martin

The latest health bulletin published by the Regional Health Agency reports 32 new cases of Covid-19 identified in Saint-Martin for the period from October 4 to 10. A declining figure since 40 cases were identified the previous week.

Taking into account the consolidated data from previous weeks, this brings to 3 the number of cumulative cases of coronavirus confirmed in the territory since the start of the health crisis.

It should be noted that since October 10 (current week 41), 16 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded out of 544 analyzes carried out.

Otherwise, on October 13, 5 confirmed Covid-19 patients were hospitalized at the Louis-Constant Fleming hospital center. An increase compared to the previous week (2).

Between October 4 and 10, there was no medical evacuation of a confirmed Covid-19 patient from Saint-Martin to the CHU de Guadeloupe. Other good news, no new death of a positive patient for Covid-19 is to be deplored.

Since the start of the health crisis, 55 residents of Saint Martin and 6 residents of Saint Barthélémy have died as a result of Covid-19.

 

Epidemiological indicators falling

According to SI-DEP ARS data, the incidence rate is falling, but remains above the alert threshold, at 89.5 / 100 inhabitants against 000 / 111.9 inhabitants the week before.

The weekly positivity rate is decreasing, below the vigilance threshold, with a rate of 2% recorded between October 4 and 10, against 2,6% the previous week. _AF
