A weather not to put your nose outside! Despite appalling weather conditions, 45 teams, each more motivated than the last, took part in the 33rd edition of the relay race around the island organized as part of the Sint Maarten's Day festivities.
A perfect organization (thank you to Trisport!), Confirmed athletes or not always present for major events, the traditional relay race of November 11 once again experienced (no longer a surprise) a frank and clear popular success.
If it is appropriate to congratulate all the riders for their commitment, a little nod to the Sx-treme Funny team from Saint-Martin, winner of the main event in 2 hours, 18 minutes and 18 seconds (it's precise !), Intergeneration Runners and SXM Tri Academie rising respectively to the 2nd and 3rd step of the podium.
In the youth category, hats off to Dynamics Sporting Club for their great victory ahead of MPC ICE Pack and Lab Sports Academy.
Still on the awards table, Céline Verdonck, member of Saint-Martin Extreme Runners, was awarded the “Special Feet Award” for her daily commitment to associations. Hats off!
Finally, Team Aftermatch won the award for best disguise. Here is a group of merry fellows who knew how to set the mood! _AF
