Coronavirus (Guadeloupe): A fortnight checked for all arrivals

0

After advice from the Scientific Council, the Minister for Overseas France decided to apply a controlled fortnight for all travelers arriving on overseas territories and departments.

This measure will take effect in Guadeloupe, from this Thursday, April 16. It will be the subject of information to anyone who wishes to join the department, prior to their trip.
Arrivals from Cayenne, Fort-de-France and Paris, who are not in transit, will thus be taken to a dedicated accommodation, where it will not be possible for them to receive visitors or go out for fourteen days. Health monitoring will be carried out under the supervision of the Regional Health Agency (ARS).
These provisions stem from the ministerial decree of March 21, which specifies that the only trips authorized by air transport must fall either for a compelling reason of a personal and family order, or a health reason relating to the emergency, or for a professional reason which cannot be deferred.
They also reinforce the prefectural decree of March 25 which already provided for strict confinement in the place of residence declared by the arrival.
All these measures are taken to contain the spread of the virus in Guadeloupe.
