COOPERATION: An operational narcotics intelligence unit for the Northern Islands

0

Last Friday, Colonel Jean-Pierre Rabasté, second in command of the Gendarmerie of Guadeloupe and the Northern Islands, Laurent Chavanne, territorial director of the National Police of Guadeloupe, as well as Philippe Richard, regional director of Customs Antilles-Guyana, signed the protocol for setting up an operational intelligence unit on narcotics (CROSS) on the islands of Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy.

The narcotics operational intelligence unit has four main missions, namely centralizing intelligence, using and enriching the intelligence collected, sharing and directing the intelligence to the service best able to process it and finally, piloting a global strategy thanks to the reinforced steering body. The fight against drug trafficking remains a priority for the gendarmerie of Guadeloupe and the Northern Islands.
