“No to Harassment” competition: Mont des Accords college and Elie Gibs school win prizes!

Every year, for 11 years now, the “Non Au Harcèlement” prize, organized by the Ministry of National Education with the support of the MAE mutual fund, allows students from CP to final year, accompanied by the educational and teaching teams of collectively create a communication medium (a poster or a video) with the aim of promoting the well-being of students at school, raising awareness among students and staff about harassment, giving students a voice by making them prevention actors.

The objective is to encourage the implementation of long-term projects denouncing and proposing solutions to combat this phenomenon in educational establishments.

The jury of the Guadeloupe academic region, made up of professionals from various backgrounds, met on Monday February 26, 2024 in the Dollin room in order to designate the different winners in different categories who will represent the academy during the national phase of the prize at month of April.

Twenty-eight establishments participated in the competition, twelve produced posters and 16 produced videos.

In Saint-Martin, four establishments participated in the competition this year: the Elie Gibs elementary school, the Mont des Accords college, the Soualiga college and the Daniella Jeffry vocational high school.

Two establishments in Saint-Martin were rewarded, namely the Elie Gibs elementary school, favorite of the academic jury, and the Mont des Accords college, for the “Cyber-Harassment” category.

The National Education services extend their congratulations to the winners and encouragement to the teams involved.
