Spelling contest: a successful first edition

0

After three months of preparing the candidates, the program "Talents d'Or" finally materialized its project on Saturday: launching the first televised spelling bee on the island.

It was to the applause of the public made up of parents, friends and other supporters that the 10 candidates competed at the CCISM of Concordia. According to the participants, the “Spell me” contest, broadcast on Télé Zeklè, was a little stressful due to the presence of the cameras. The session took place in several phases and each candidate was entitled to the spelling of 5 words. Here is the ranking: Sophonie Clairin the champion, followed by Méjenna Cozier and Elane Guichard. The various sponsors offered them respectively a laptop, a tablet and a mobile phone. The competition jury was made up of a professor, Andy Armongon, a trainer, Jean-Louis Erimond, and the president of ACED, Audrey Claxton. "Talents d'Or" wishes to organize a second edition next year. _KL
