On Wednesday February 8, 2017, at the beginning of the afternoon, the Squadron Leader MANZONI Sébastien, commander of the Company of St MARTIN and St BARTHELEMY welcomed within the Operational Center of the Gendarmerie of St MARTIN (COG), the representatives of the Dutch police on the occasion of a cross-border police collaboration work project.
On February 03, 2017, a previous visit was made by the gendarmes to the Dutch emergency center (911 Dispatch). After a general presentation of the service and the gendarmic computer equipment of the COG platform, it was tested live, in English, the communication with the two emergency centers, under the terms of: "911 dispatch ! 911 dispatch from Gendarmerie! »On a radio line specially dedicated to them. The objective being the fight against crime, while respecting the application of the articles mentioned in Decree No. 2015-1270 of October 13, 2015 *. For the sake of efficiency in the face of flagrant offenses or crimes, VAMA, homicide, theft with violence, physical assault, vehicle theft, etc. This new process makes it possible to communicate and exchange, (in English), immediately any description of authors or of vehicles, as well as their direction of flight ... And this, in order to deploy the necessary means for their control or arrest in each of its territories.
