As of today, the Highway Code exam is no longer free. Applicants will have to pay 30 euros, to be paid via their driving school or online. Please note: without proof of payment on the day of the test, you will not be able to take the exam. The objective of the Ministry of the Interior is to reduce the time taken to obtain a driving license. If you want to pay online, just go to the following site:
www.timbres.impot.gouv.fr. The ministry invites applicants to contact their driving school for more information. This change is part of the driving license reform - announced by Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve two years ago - which also includes 1.000 new questions to the Highway Code. _EH
