During the last Territorial Council, several elected officials were appointed to sit on the two boards of directors of the Robert Weinum school complex, located in La Savane.
The president of the Collectivity Aline Hanson clarified to the elected officials that the School City, which should open its doors in January 2016, includes two autonomous educational establishments: a college and a high school, having their own board of directors. Here are the elected officials who were appointed:
CA high school - School campus:
Holders: Ramona Connor, Rosette Lake-Gumbs, Jean-David Richardson and Maud Ascent Gibbs. For the alternates: Dominique Aubert, Louis Fleming, Guillaume Arnell and Wendel Cocks.
CA college - School city:
Holders: Alain Gros-Désormeaux, Dominique Aubert, Rollande Questel and Josiane Carty-Nettleford. For the alternates: Nadine Paines, Jean-Philippe Richardson, Valérie Fonrone and Claire Manuel-Philip.
The opening of the Cité scolaire is one of the major achievements of 2015, recalled the president. The foundation stone of the site was laid in late 2013.
