0

The latest weekly epidemiological bulletin (BEH) from the Institute for Public Health Surveillance (InVS) is devoted to prostate cancer, and offers an assessment in the French West Indies. We learn that this cancer is “the most frequent tumor pathology, representing more than 50% of male incident cases. Its incidence and mortality are higher there than in metropolitan France ”. This cancer “deserves special attention from public authorities” and is perceived by the population as “a major public health problem”. As part of the Movember prevention campaign, men are encouraged to grow their mustaches for another ten days to raise awareness of male illnesses. _EH
