0

Sand mists are particularly present in the Northern Islands, hence a red passage for air pollution.

The Northern Islands therefore remain on red alert for poor air quality. The atmospheric index is always 10.

According to the air quality monitoring institute, Gwadair, the concentration of fine PM10 particles in the air exceeds 80 μg / m3 on average over 24 hours, a value corresponding to the alert threshold. After several consecutive days of exceeding the regulatory thresholds and faced with this forecast, the alert procedure was triggered in accordance with the prefectural order relating to air quality.

The authorities are calling for limiting gas emissions. Individuals are invited to limit their trips, favor teleworking and avoid outdoor leisure activities.

According to the latest forecasts, an improvement is not expected until the night of Wednesday to next Thursday.
