Territorial scholarship: angry students

0

For the past three months, Saint-Martin students benefiting from the territorial scholarship have been awaiting the payment of 40% of the amount awarded. Parents of students sent an open letter to the president of the Aline Hanson community to denounce this situation.

Scholarship students say they are in "an infernal whirlpool", juggling their debts. “This scholarship is 85% funded by the ESF (€ 336) and 556% by the Collectivity (€ 15). However, it has now been more than three months that the students have been waiting for the payment of 60% of the scholarship for the year 000-40. At the territorial scholarship service, the only answer given to us parents is: "Soon". As parents, we are sounding the alarm, because we are already at the start of the 2014-2015 school year ”, the parents indicate in their letter. "In your speeches, as well as those of your political team, you keep repeating aloud and in chorus:" Encourage these young people to continue their learning as long as possible, in order to build the Saint-Martin of tomorrow ". Words, always words, nothing but words… Because, in the field, young people are relegated to the last row ”, add the parents who ask the president to“ take a clear and honest position towards the students ”.
