0

The Philipsburg Jubilee Library celebrates “Black History Month” for a week, until the end of the month under the theme “Passing on your Legacy”. Last Saturday, an African dance workshop for children aged 5 to 12 was hosted by Rudolph Davis, dance teacher at the National Institute of the Arts (NIA). Funtopia will offer a similar workshop this Saturday, from 12 p.m. to 13 p.m., during which young people will discover modern aspects of African dance. Tomorrow, poetry lovers will be able to show their talents from 18 p.m. to 30 p.m. The week will end with the screening of the documentary “Back in the day: St. Maarten”. A debate will then be chaired by speakers Leonidas Friday, Chester York and Carlson Velasquez.
