The Secretary of State in charge of Commerce, Martine Pinville, announced this week that certain online sites selling airline tickets have been called to order by the Directorate-General for Competition because of “deceptive practices” in price display material. A report from the DGCCRF in fact denounces some twenty sites - including online travel agencies and airlines - including govoyages.fr, travelgenio.fr and travel2be.fr. In the press, Ms. Pinville asked the DGCCRF “to keep the sector under close surveillance in 2017, in order to ensure that consumers benefit from fair price information, both from travel agencies and airlines and comparators ”. _EH
