The long-awaited regular season leader’s match between Lightning and Thunderz turned to the advantage of Jean-Jude Paul’s daughters.
The last game of the regular season kept all its promises between the two best teams in the championship. The objective for the Thunderz team is clear: to impose themselves at all costs in order to regain their lost leadership position in the second half of the season.
Claudia Fleming's teammates start the drum-and-beat encounter and widen the gap at the end of the first quarter (16 to 6).
The rest of the game is tighter, the defenses often take precedence over the attacks. Few points are registered during the 2nd quarter time.
The two formations are shoulder to shoulder a good part of the meeting.
In particular at 13 seconds from the end of the game where the Lightning team reduced the gap from 25 to 15 points.
The end of the match is tense. Thanks to better collective control, the "Jaunes" retain their advantage and finally win 48 to 44.
The regular season being over, it's now up to PLAY-OFF 2016 for the title of LBC Women's League Champion.
THUNDERZ, the only team on the French side, will try to win the coveted title.
