Involved against the exclusion and delinquency of young people in Saint-Martin, the association SXM Sport Mouvement promotes the integration of young people, from different communities, through sport.
In addition to Futsal, Basketball, Volleyball and Softball, the association has just created a Baseball section for young people aged 7 to 13-14 years old. This discipline is experiencing a resurgence of interest among young people from Saint-Martin, which has motivated those in charge of the association to introduce children interested in this sport.
Every Sunday morning, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am, training takes place on the ground of the Jean-Louis Vanterpool stadium, under the leadership of Rodrigo "Yigui" Santana, who learns the basics of the game, but also discipline and fair play.
Like any setting up of a section of young players in a club, the association has to face expenses to equip the young people with equipment adapted to their age, so any support of sponsors is welcome.
During the carnival holidays, baseball discovery sessions will take place at the Jean-Louis Vanterpool stadium.
