Last Saturday, the association Clean St Martin organized a cleaning which brought together forty participants in a jovial and relaxed atmosphere!
The area cleaned this Saturday extends from the beach of the Mont Vernon residence to the beach of the abandoned hotel in Cul-de-Sac. In all, 600m of coastline including a rocky part and a pebble beach were cleaned in a few hours by these eco-citizens.
Among the waste, they still found a lot of debris from the cyclone but also a lot of waste brought by the sea (nets, plastics of all kinds, etc.). In the end, an entire skip will not have been enough to contain the “harvest” of the day, the excess will be removed later by the Collectivity.
