ARS / Dengue outbreaks reported in Concordia and Friar's Bay neighborhoods

0

The community of Saint-Martin reports to the population that active foci of dengue fever have been detected in certain neighborhoods (Friar's Bay and Concordia) by the Regional Health Agency (ARS).

In addition to the measures taken by the Regional Health Agency and the competent institutional services, the community recommends that the population protect themselves against mosquitoes:

• Strengthen individual protection measures: install mosquito nets on windows, install mosquito nets around beds, protect homes.

• Reinforce the elimination of mosquito breeding places by cleaning the surroundings of houses and gardens, by removing standing water points or by protecting the rain water collection points with a net.

• Contact the community on 0590 52 27 30 (ask the Environment department) to have vehicle wrecks (ELVs) removed, which encourage the proliferation of mosquito larvae.

The community invites the population to observe these points of vigilance, in order to fight against the proliferation of mosquitoes on the territory.
