The SXM Sport Mouvement association organizes sports events throughout the weekend. Young and old are invited to come and participate in the various competitions that will take place from Friday to Sunday next.
On Friday, adults are invited to participate in a volleyball tournament at the Jean-Louis Vanterpool Sports Hall. A tournament which will start at 11:00 am and which will find its epilogue at 21:00 pm. The first three teams of this competition will be awarded prizes of 500, 300 and 200 euros respectively.
Futsal will be on the program for the day on Saturday with junior teams. The competition will start at 8:00 am and end around 18:00 pm. Medals and trophies will reward the best teams.
On Sunday August 16, the Sports Hall will welcome seniors for a futsal competition, while veterans will take part in a Mondialito on the “lawn” of the Jean-Louis Vanterpool stadium. Prizes of 500, 300 and 200 euros will be awarded to the first three teams, and medals will distinguish the other teams.
"It is a sporting event to promote sport, against violence and to raise funds to finalize the trip to Guadeloupe next September," said Julius Richardson, President of the SXM Sport Mouvement association.
