ANGUILLA: Reduction in delinquency

0

Delinquency shows in Anguilla a drop of almost 15% during the first half of 2019 compared to 2018 at the same period, this represents 60 fewer acts, for a total of 352 crimes. The police explain these results in particular by strengthening patrols.

48% of cases are presented to a judge against 29% last year, and 40% are subject to prosecution.

The number of robberies has decreased with two incidents recorded against six in 2018. The fight against weapons is one of the priorities of the police, which indicates having carried out several seizures.

The police finally noted an increase in sexual violence and considered that more and more victims had the courage to report the facts. (source: soualigapost.com)
