September 21 is World Alzheimer's Day. The opportunity to educate the public about this disease which leads to a deterioration of memory, and to return to the daily lives of caregivers.
According to a recent survey carried out by France Alzheimer with active carers, “eight out of ten encounter difficulties in reconciling professional life and the role of carer”. Almost 90% of those questioned mentioned "stress, anxiety, exhaustion". In our territory, family carers will be able to benefit from training at the end of the month, offered by the Collectivité in partnership with the France Alzheimer Guadeloupe association. The purpose of this session is to allow them to acquire knowledge to better support the sick. _EH
