This Tuesday, February 14, around 11:30 a.m., a woman was the victim of a robbery of her handbag. A territorial police officer in civilian clothes managed to arrest the individual after a chase to the entrance to the Marina Royale.
The facts took place between the rue de la Liberté and the rue de Kennedy. While walking quietly in downtown Marigot, a lady was attacked by an individual who stole her handbag. Thanks to the responsiveness of a territorial policeman in civilian clothes, the attacker in possession of a sharp object was disarmed and then brought under control on the ground. The handbag was returned to its owner. Alerted, the Border Police, the gendarmerie and the Territorial Police came to lend a hand to the courageous policeman who knew how to show composure and professionalism. The individual was then taken to the gendarmerie brigade to be taken into custody. _AF
