The Minister of Overseas, Annick Girardin, and the Director General of AFD, Rémy Rioux, presented to the ministry yesterday the activity of the French development agency in the Overseas for 2016. “Up compared to in 2015, AFD's commitments for the benefit of overseas territories amounted to € 1,6 billion in 2016. This result reflects the Agency's desire to increasingly support overseas economies through funding and support of local public policies in 2016 ”, indicates the agency, specifying that 149 projects benefited from funding in the public and private sector. Among the projects selected, a leisure stopover in Bouillante, in Guadeloupe, and a wind farm in Martinique.
