At the end of the Council of Ministers held yesterday morning, the authorities of Sint Maarten decided to postpone for another fifteen days, namely until next August 1, the reopening of commercial flights to and from the United States from Juliana Airport.
A wise decision of the Dutch government (note) which is explained by the more than worrying health situation in the USA. In the past 24 hours, 56598 people have tested positive for Covid-19. This brings to 3062255 the total number of cases declared since the start of the epidemic!
In short, the arrival of American tourists in Sint Maarten / Saint-Martin is not yet scheduled for tomorrow, at least on August 1st. In the best case…
