On the occasion of the 10rd Saint-Martinoise edition, 281 women took the Saturday afternoon start of this race and walk 100% organized by the Avenir Sportif Club of Saint-Martin.
After a 2021 edition marked by the pandemic and the obligation to restrict the number of participants, this year women's sport, with a fun spirit, was back.
For this 10rd edition, the Godmother was Claudine Désert, former coach of the Avenir Sportif Club of Saint-Martin who made the trip to Guadeloupe especially. She was there at the start of La Saint-Martinoise and was part of this small group of women who one day wanted to launch a sporting event dedicated to women in Saint-Martin.
Shortly before the start of the race, the anthem of Saint-Martin was performed A capella by Tamilla Chance
At 16 p.m. sharp, the start was given. Agnès Puigcerver from the Avenir Sportif Club immediately took the lead and finished the course in 21'12''.
The first walker, Lynn Taylor completes the distance in 35'29''. Finally, in the Mother Daughter category, Team Doranges won the title for the 3rd year.
A great anniversary edition, which ended with a Socca Fit session led energetically by Learie, and a raffle for which 3 round-trip plane tickets Saint-Martin – Paris were put into play by Air Caraïbes.
Note that on March 16 at 8:30 a.m., the ASCSM offers an edition for schoolchildren. Seven schools and colleges responded, and 138 girls from CM1 to 5rd are already registered.
