THE RAS-LE-BOL DES GOLFEURS

0

In 2 articles published in the Daily Herald, golfers express everyone's fed up.

Tuesday: “It's a shame to get there but it's time for golfers to react. Giving your money to play and support an “under-golf” with peeled fairways and greens (because no irrigation) and dilapidated carts is a scandal!

The "owner" of the golf course should be ashamed to associate his name with this "pasture" golf course and the Co-owners of the Towers should unite to show their intention to pursue it and leave them with such decrepitude.

I am not a supporter of a government that interferes in private affairs. However, when an owner has a monopoly, the ONLY golf course on the island and golfers, staff and timeshare owners are overlooked and defrauded by the mere fact that the owner does not care or what is not of primary interest so I believe that the government must act as the voice of the people and the customers of golf, as a mediator to help improve golf.

The "players' strike" will probably make people realize how much the residents support Mullet Bay financially.

There should have been enough impact when the cruise ships stopped advertising that the island has a golf course following complaints from tourists in the "reviews". I know that everything I write can fall on deaf ears, but it has to start one day: unite golfers!

Mullet Bay was previously classified as a “5-star Caribbean golf destination”. I can't help but believe it could be again someday.

Wednesday: “You would have thought that without rain this year the so-called manager would have appreciated the local golfers who have played all these years, but no, he increased the price taking advantage of the closure of the Anguilla golf course until to October 17. The price of this so-called golf course should not exceed $ 35 with cart for residents. We local golfers (20-30), who play weekly, have decided to stop donating our hard earned money to a run down facility. We're fed up with the “conners…” of Mullet Bay.

To all golfers: you can join the Anguilla Golf Association for $ 75 per person or $ 100 per couple, and play on a real and cheaper golf course. Meet at Anguilla. We will miss the staff at the Mullet Bay golf course. At least we hope they will get a raise. ”

The message got through. Tamarins side, same feeling and same indignation. Players have also started to drop Mullet Bay for Anguilla.

Golf on the French side? It would be an invaluable asset. _AH
