The number of tax-free households remains high in Saint-Martin. Of the 17.000 income tax returns received last year to the tax service, there are 12.750, said President Aline Hanson at the launch of the new income tax campaign. To fill its coffers, the COM benefited from only 4.254 taxable households. "Only two out of ten residents are taxable on income tax in Saint Martin," said the president. Total income for 2015 from income tax amounted to 11,2 million euros, up 45% compared to the previous year. As a reminder, the 2015 income statement must be submitted to the tax department at Concordia by May 31, 2016 at the latest.
