The Saint-Martin Territorial Cycling Committee (CCTSM) thanks all the partners who allowed young Saint-Martin champions to participate in the 13th edition of the Martinique junior cycling tour which took place from April 26 to May 1, 2018 .
The Saint-Martin selection was represented by two juniors (Noel Kianny and Yéhudi Destouches, supervised by Roméo Lake).
Unable to have a larger selection, the majority of young juniors being outside the department to continue their studies, a selection was put in place at the very last minute.
This race, classified 2.12.7 with 5 stages in the program and 61 runners, allowed the two representatives of the "Friendly Island" to obtain results which are after all honorable.
Indeed, Noël Kianny and Yéhudi Destouches finished respectively in 9th and 22nd place in the general classification.
"The results are satisfactory," said the leaders of the Saint-Martin committee. After Irma, the young people found it very difficult to indulge in their favorite sport. No competition has been organized on the island for long months! "
