Environment: Observe the waste disposal instructions!

In order to best meet the requirements of cleanliness and respect for the environment, the community of Saint-Martin has implemented an efficient waste collection system throughout the year:

- 7 days a week for household waste

- 5 times a week for bulky items

- 3 times a week for green waste.

The Collectivity of Saint-Martin reminds the population that garbage bins have been installed on the territory to allow residents to deposit their household waste daily. The bins provided for this purpose should be used from 18 p.m. (at dusk), the waste being collected every evening from 19 p.m. (7 days a week).

Bulky items (scrap metal, household appliances, Hi-fi, mattresses, etc.) are picked up every day, except Sunday, from 18 p.m .: deposit near garbage cans (deposit prohibited on sidewalks or in front of dwellings).

Green waste is picked up 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), in the morning. They must be stored in closed bags and placed near the trash shelters.

 

The Collectivity reminds artisans, traders and professionals that they are responsible for their waste and disposal. The illegal dumping of household waste, bulky items and green waste is prohibited by law (Article L. 541-3 of the Environment Code).

 

The Galisbay-Bienvenue recycling center is open every day from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m. (except Sundays and public holidays). The Grandes Cayes ecosite is open Monday to Friday from 06:00 a.m. to 16:00 p.m. and Saturday from 06:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

 

The Collectivity of Saint-Martin - Department of the Environment and the Living Environment - invites the population to use the devices that are in place, and thanks you for following these instructions while respecting the living environment of our fellow citizens.
