On Friday, The Women's Island Network (WIN) will present the first edition "Passionately Pink Interactive Evening" as part of Pink October. Organized at the Divi Beach Resort from 19 p.m. to 21 p.m. in collaboration with the Positive Foundation, the event is both an information session on breast cancer and a fundraiser. Among the speakers, Dr. Henk Wassenaar, oncologist at St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC). Shelly Alphonso, President of the Positive Foundation, notably declared that her institution is proud to take part in this evening: "Early detection in the fight against breast cancer is always our best protection."
