10 new cases of covid-19 in Sint Maarten

Based on the latest data provided by Dr Raissa Tjon-Kon-Fat, epidemiologist for the Collective Prevention Services (SPC) in part Dutch, as of Thursday July 23, St. Maarten had 94 people with confirmed COVID-19 infection. in the laboratory, including 16 cases classified as currently active.

According to a press release, VSA Minister of Public Health, Social Development and Labor Richard Panneflek said: “On July 21, two new cases were confirmed. Three new cases were confirmed on July 22, and 10 active cases were confirmed this evening, July 23. “To date, 63 people have been cured and 15 people have died.

Our current 16 active cases are actively monitored by the CPS, which has also launched a source and contact tracing for all cases to ensure that the virus is contained as quickly as possible ”.

Mr Panneflek will make a press release with the representatives of the CPS to inform the general public this Friday.
