HIV: green light for Truvada

A few days before the World AIDS Day, the government said it was in favor of the use of Truvada for people most at risk, a preventive treatment against HIV. This is the announcement that was made earlier this week by the Minister of Health Marisol Touraine to the National Assembly where the Social Security budget proposal for 2016 was examined. This treatment should be paid for at 100% at the start of 2016. The Truvada “should not be used as a substitute for the condom,” recalled Marisol Touraine. On the announcement of the minister's decision, Aurélien Beaucamp, president of the Aides association, expressed his "immense satisfaction".
