La Poste recently appointed two new directors in Saint-Martin. Antony Véron heads the La Poste networks at the Grand-Case and Galisbay offices, while Frédéric Leblanc is in charge of mail delivery.

In the presence of his 3rd vice-president, Sofia Carti-Codrington, President Daniel Gibbs took advantage of this courtesy visit to address the subject of the representation of the Post in the territory and the issue of improving addressing . The need to develop postal services in outlying districts was also discussed.

Barbara Monpierre, regional director of communication, indicated that La Poste was quite quick to carry out its project to set up a new post office in Quartier d'Orléans. This news was greeted with enthusiasm by the Collectivity, as users of the North sector need this public service.

The Collectivity is currently working on the diversification of services to the public in remote neighborhoods, in particular through partnerships within the two Public Service Houses (MSAP) of Quartier d'Orléans and Sandy-Ground.

These local services prevent citizens living in these neighborhoods from having to systematically travel to Marigot to complete their administrative formalities.

La Poste also intends to develop new services in the territory of Saint-Martin, both in the proximity link and in the digital service.

Contacts have been made between the Solidarity and Family delegation and the new local management of La Poste for increased collaboration over the coming months in the service of users, as well as monitoring the installation of La Poste in Quartier d'Orléans.
