URBAN PLANNING: 10 million euros to expropriate or buy back property in risk areas

0

From the new natural risk prevention plan (PPRN) that the State will deliver in early 2019, new risk areas will be defined; all risks will be taken into account: flood, cyclonic, marine submersion, seismic.

In places where these risks will be the highest and the protection of populations insufficient, it will be forbidden to live. The people who live there today will have to leave their homes.

The decision belongs to the COM. She must offer the owners to buy their property at a price that she will have fixed. It is also the COM which will have to compensate them, it will do so through the Barnier fund or the natural risk prevention fund.

In case of agreement on the amount of compensation, we will speak of amicable acquisition, in case of disagreement, the COM will have to launch an expropriation procedure.

Only people with a recognized and official title to property will be affected, the others will have to be evicted.

During the interdepartmental committee for reconstruction on March 12, the government announced that it had released 10 million euros from the Barnier fund to transfer them to the COM. (More details on www.soualigapost.com)
