Emmanuelle Lepine, clinical psychologist, specialist in post traumatic stress and the management of difficult situations organizes on behalf of the Fondation de France, a week of interprofessional meetings on psycho trauma in Saint-Martin. The event, intended for health professionals and social workers on the island, will take place from December 10 to 14 at the Mercure hotel.
In addition to Mélanie Hubault, Head of Individualized Funds and Health Promotion Programs at the Fondation de France and her assistant, the psychologist will be accompanied by four psychiatrists and a specialist educator. This week of interprofessional meetings, which already has around a hundred registrations, will alternate between plenary sessions and round tables, as well as supervisions directly within the associative structures.
“We have tried to build a program that meets the needs and expectations of professionals in the area,” she explains. Member of the Antilles Solidarity Committee of the Fondation de France, Emmanuelle Lépine took part in a first needs assessment mission in July 2018. She confides that she was struck by the "great investment of the professionals of the island and their exhaustion".
