Psychological support put in place by EPRUS

0

EPRUS is a team of reservist carers (doctors, psychologists and nurses) dependent on the Ministry of Health, outside the hospital. They respond to the invitation of the Regional Health Agency (ARS) to set up a psychological support system in Saint-Martin and in particular at the Louis-Constant Fleming hospital.

The Establishment of Preparation and Response to Health Emergencies (EPRUS) thus proposes to create speaking groups or individual interviews, the objective being to listen to the experience of each after the passage of Cyclone Irma.

A mobile number is dedicated for making contact. During this exchange, an appointment is determined together. It is then a question of allowing those who wish to:

• talk about their experiences since the cyclone passed with outside caregivers;

• to shed light on the repercussions in their daily and professional life;

• to favor possible orientations in individual interview if necessary.

Caregivers at EPRUS guarantee confidentiality.

Regarding collective debriefings, individual meetings can also be offered. _AF
