The regional health agency (ARS) announced yesterday the death of one of the eighteen patients who were hospitalized in Saint-Martin. This is a woman who had been placed on non-invasive ventilation. The deputy director of the ARS, Jean-François Cayet, did not indicate whether she had comorbidities or not, it is a question of medical confidentiality, he said.

This brings to 7 the number of deaths in part French since the start of the epidemic, without counting the person who died in part French but who was resident in part in Holland where his death was recorded.

The number of people treated at the Louis-Constant Fleming hospital is 17. Two other Saint-Martinois are hospitalized in Guadeloupe and one in Martinique.

According to the latest health report, the number of active cases is 117 partly French on September 14 and 61 partly Dutch on September 16. (soualigapost.com)
