At the beginning of last week, the Sint-Maarten police received several telephone calls reporting that an individual had been stabbed several times on Soualiga Road.
When they arrived quickly, the police and the paramedics found the injured man, who indeed bore several marks of stab wounds to the chest and lacerations on the body. According to information gathered on the spot, an argument broke out between two men, one of them having borrowed without scooter the other from his scooter.
For the record, FL had parked its two wheels on the side of the road near a bar where it had entered. The suspect, MAG, took the opportunity to leave the scene with the FL scooter, and return approximately 10 minutes later.
An altercation ensued between the two men. FL was stabbed with a knife and also threatened with a machete.
The perpetrator, still present at the scene, was immediately arrested by the police and taken to the police station where he was placed in police custody before being imprisoned. The victim who was bleeding profusely received first aid on the spot before being transferred to Sint Maarten Medical Center. _AF
