Sanitation works in Grand-Case: Resumption on June 8 of the site in compliance with health rules

0

The EEASM informs the population of the resumption of activity at the Grand-Case sanitation site, in compliance with the instructions issued by the health authorities with regard to construction sites.

Work will resume on Monday June 8 on Boulevard Bertin Maurice, on the section between the Bridge and Rue des Ecoles. This portion of the boulevard will be closed to vehicle traffic and parking during construction hours: Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 18 p.m.

The renewal of the drinking water network will be carried out simultaneously with the deployment of the sanitation network.

The preparatory operations for the works (siting, sawing) will begin this week. Traffic disruptions on the boulevard are expected this Friday.

Aware of the impact of the site on the local economy, the EEASM and the Community are doing everything to ensure that the works on the boulevard are carried out as soon as possible and before the next tourist season.

In addition, the control of the works already carried out (compaction of the trenches, implementation of the networks: camera passage, sealing…) are in progress following the lifting of the restrictions of inter-island movements. These tests are essential to guarantee the maintenance of infrastructures, and will allow, after validation, to implement pavement repair.
