For the 6th stage of the 68th Tour of Guadeloupe, which ran over 160 kilometers between Abymes and Vieux-Habitants, the Vélo Club de Grand-Case scores points and shows its efficiency thanks to Ever Alexander Rivera Guerrero.

Indeed, the Saint-Martin runner knew how to play the pedals to qualify for third place in the stage behind Jhonathan Salinas (Us Lamentin) and Luis Sablon (Team Nicolas Dubois-VCC). He thus won the green jersey on this 6th race! The other members of the VCG are placed on the stage in the following order:

Herman Dario Parra Suarez 17th, Ludovic Turpin 59th, Olivier Curier 84th and Jayson Rousseau 93rd. The Vélo Club de Grand-Case retains 5th place in the team classification.

As for the competition leader's yellow jersey, which had previously been held for a few stages by Mickaël Guichard (Team pro Immo Nicolas Roux), changes hands. Affected at the collarbone, the former leader was forced to abandon the stage. The new leader wearing the precious yellow jersey is Boris Carène (Team Carène Cycling Développement).

A complicated 7th stage.

Stage 7 of the Tour, which took place on Friday, was more complicated than the previous one for the Saint-Martin runners. 155 kilometers to cover between Vieux-Habitant and Petit-Canal. A difficult race for the club, which suffered 4 falls and the abandonment of Herman Dario Parra Suarez. And yet, hope was present during the course, Ever Alexander Rivera Guerrero was a virtual yellow jersey time but, was caught up on the last kilometers of the stage. The VCG loses a place in the general team classification, and finds itself in 6th place.
