This other school in Quartier d'Orléans located on the Coralita road was also relatively untouched by the winds of the hurricane.

For this school establishment, 20 euros will be committed for its repair in order to welcome the 000 students who are enrolled there for the start of the school year in the best possible conditions.

The entrance porch and security gates were ripped apart during the hurricane. The roof has been little damaged, and the openings are to be checked. The Collectivity has planned these heaviest works to rehabilitate the entrance to the establishment during the summer, as well as to rehabilitate certain damaged aluminum doors and windows.

Here too, beautification of the buildings, finishing and fitting of the sign are the order of the day during these summer holidays.

To remember

Amount of work undertaken: 20 euros (out of the 000 million committed for the work of 9.5 schools).

Beginning of the roadworks : July 2018

End of the works : last week of August 2018

Main works: Rehabilitation of the entrance porch and adjoining security barriers. Verification of openings and aluminum carpentry work on doors and windows.

New sectorization

From the start of the 2018 school year, and given the new configuration of primary schools, a new sector was recently adopted by the Executive Council. This decision arises from the need to ensure security, to guarantee the working conditions of members of the school community, while ensuring that the accommodation capacity of school premises is adequate and being vigilant that the adapting school sectors does not weaken the schools concerned, nor does it disrupt family arrangements.

Omer Arrondell Elementary School, located rue de Coralita in Quartier d'Orléans will welcome students residing in Orient Bay, Quartier d'Orléans (Spring subdivision, Brittain street, Sparrows street, Ground Dove street, Trush street, Round the Pond, rue du Gloire, Chambar Hill, rue the Cross the Range, rue Martha Illidge, rue des pommes pommes surettes, impasse des Barry, rue Mullet Fish, rue de Coralita, rue des deux frères, rue de Lamigeot, rue Mont Saline) and Oyster Pond.
