Organized by Tri-Sport and SXM Moutain Bikers, the SXM MTB Xtreme Duo took place recently in the presence of many mountain bikers ready to do battle over a long distance!
The start of the race was given at 6 am with a route strewn with pitfalls and great difficulties to overcome including the famous climb of Pic Paradis.
At the end of the effort, the duo Mark Maidwell - Oats Paines (Music Men) won in 2h48'46 '' in front of the pair Dick Luttekes - Karel Spijker (Oyster Power) who finished the race in 2h51'40 ' ', Carty Kenny and Noel Kianny (Team Fortenight) completing the podium with a time of 2h53'. Bravo to these young champions, both of whom are juniors.
In the EBike category, Kevin Jacquin and Yann Ballerin (Power Rangers) took first place with a time of 3:21:20 ''.
Finally, in a mixed team, Andy Armongon and Céline Verdonck cross the finish line as winners in 3h54'55 ''.
In addition to the results, all participants should be congratulated for their courage and selflessness displayed throughout the event.
