All restaurants, bars and shops in the Dutch side will be able to remain open until 2 a.m. from December 1, Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunications (TEATT) Ludmila de Weever.

As of November 1, only casinos were allowed to stay open until 2 a.m., with other businesses being required to continue to close at midnight, with those that violated the rules risking having their licenses immediately revoked.

Ludmila De Weever specified that establishments will have to continue to ensure that employees and customers always scrupulously respect sanitary measures: the wearing of a compulsory mask, a social distance of at least two meters and hand disinfection.

The minister also stressed that the inspection department of TEATT, with the help of the police and the Ministry of Justice, will continue to carry out checks to ensure that restaurants, bars and shops comply with health protocols.  _AF
