Sint Maarten: 16 new people tested positive for Covid-19

The latest health bulletin dated November 25 reports 16 new people tested positive for Covid-19 on the Dutch side, bringing the total number of active cases to 92. 13 patients, however, were declared cured.

The Collective Prevention Services (CPS) are now monitoring 90 people in isolation at their homes, all with suspicious symptoms related to the coronavirus.

In addition, 2 patients are currently hospitalized at Sint Maarten Medical Center.

Another 194 people are currently under surveillance after they may have come into contact with an active case.

Since the first case on the Dutch side, 1 people have been declared cured.

The total number of deaths from Covid-19 remains at 25.

Finally, the health services have already tested 1399 travelers arriving at Princess Juliana International Airport and 7200 people across the country.

“Compliance with the mandatory regulations that are implemented is crucial in efforts to reduce the spread of the virus. We must continue to wear masks in public, practice social distancing of 2 meters, disinfect and wash hands frequently and refrain from mass gatherings ”tirelessly recalls the Minister of Public Health, Social Development and Labor, Richard Panneflek. _AF
