Sint Maarten: Five new people tested positive for Covid-19

As of November 1, 5 other people have tested positive for Covid-19; bringing the total number of active cases in the Dutch part to 56. The total number of confirmed cases is now 831 since the start of the epidemic.

 

The Collective Prevention Services (CPS) are still monitoring 51 people placed in isolation at their homes, all with suspicious symptoms linked to the coronavirus.

4 patients are still hospitalized at Sint Maarten Medical Center.

Another 135 people are also under surveillance after perhaps having come into contact with an active case. Since the first case on the Dutch side, 1 people have been declared cured.

The total number of deaths from Covid-19 remains at 22. Finally, the health services have already tested 1211 travelers arriving at Princess Juliana International Airport and 5631 people across the country.

The government always reminds us that: "to flatten the curve and reduce the spread of the virus, you must continue to wear masks in public, practice social distancing of 2 meters, disinfect and wash your hands frequently and refrain from mass gatherings ”. _AF
